Terms and Conditions of Guthega Inn

Welcome to Guthega Inn!

We are a boutique Inn located in a semi-remote village. We recommend that all guests call when leaving Jindabyne so that we can confirm directions and advise conditions on the mountain – this is particularly important in winter so that we can co-ordinate assistance with parking and over-snow transfer.

We strongly recommend travel insurance for your holiday.

Please note restrictions below for check-in times.

These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our services. By accessing or using any part of our services or property, you agree to comply with these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

  1. Reservation and Payment:
    • To make a reservation at Guthega Inn, you must be at least 18 years old or accompanied by an adult.
    • Child rates are 4 – 12 years of age
    • To secure a Reservation, a deposit of 30% tariff is payable at time of booking. If not received, the reservation will be automatically cancelled. Full payment is required eight weeks prior to arrival and will be automatically debited.
    • The number of occupants including children must not exceed the number stated on the reservation.
    • We accept various forms of payment, including credit cards, debit cards, and cash. Additional fees may apply for certain payment methods.
    • B&B rates are per room and include breakfast only.
    • Our relatively remote location means we need to plan in advance. Please contact us at least 7 days prior to arrival if you have special dietary requirements.
    • Rates include over-snow transfers to & from the Inn & Guthega car park, charges apply if arrival is after 9pm.
    • All rates include GST. Rates are subject to change without notice. All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking.
  2. Cancellation and Refunds:
    • Cancellations 57 days or more to arrival date: a refund minus a 10% cancellation fee will be provided
    • Cancellations & “no shows” within 56 days (8 weeks) of arrival date: 100% of the tariff is non-refundable.
    • Cancellations must be acknowledged in writing.
    • If you need to alter your booking we will make every effort to assist.
      Please note that demand is heavy during the ski season and it may not be
      possible to alter a booking once confirmed.
  3. Check-in and Check-out:
    • In winter, guests MUST call ahead with their approximate arrival time.
    • Check-in time is between 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Early check-in may be available upon request and is subject to availability.
    • For the safety of our staff and consideration of our guests, we have a check-in cutoff time of 10:00 pm. If you are unable to arrive by 10:00 pm you will need to arrange alternative overnight accommodation and your nights accommodation will be forfeited.
    • In rare and extreme circumstances late check-ins will be considered at the discretion of the Manager on Duty, noting late check-in charges will be incurred.
    • Check-out time is before 10:00 am. We are unable to cater for late check-outs during winter. Late check-outs during summer may incur additional charges.
    • A valid government-issued photo ID and a credit card or cash deposit may be required upon check-in for incidentals and damages.
  4. Reception Hours
    • 8:00 am to 10:00 pm
  5. Guest Responsibilities:
    • Guests are responsible for providing accurate and complete information during the reservation process.
    • Guests must comply with all policies, rules, and regulations of Guthega Inn, including but not limited to noise restrictions, smoking policies, and pet policies.
    • Guests are liable for any damages or losses caused to the property, including but not limited to the guest rooms, common areas, and amenities.
    • Illegal activities, harassment of staff or other guests, or any behaviour that disrupts the peace and tranquillity of the Inn will not be tolerated and may result in immediate eviction without a refund.
    • All guests need to have returned for the evening by 10:00 pm when all external doors to the inn are locked for the safety and security of guests.
  6. Liability and Disclaimers:
    • Guthega Inn is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings or valuables during your stay.
    • We do not assume liability for any injuries, accidents, illnesses, or medical conditions that occur during your stay. Persons entering the property do so by accepting personally and severally all risks and waiver all claims against the Proprietor.
    • Leaving a guest room or space in an unfit state for re-occupation on the day of departure following a standard clean, will result in extra cleaning fees being levied. In cases when a room cannot be re-let on the day, the daily room tariff will also be charged, following discussions with management, until it can be returned to a saleable condition.
    • The Inn reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

  7. Privacy and Data Protection:
    • By using our services, you agree to our privacy policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and disclose personal information.
    • We may collect and store certain information about your visit, including but not limited to IP addresses, browser details, and timestamps, for analytical purposes.
  8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:
    • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Guthega Inn is located.
    • Any disputes arising from the use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
  9. Modifications to the Terms:
    • Guthega Inn reserves the right to modify or revise these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.
    • By continuing to access or use our services after any modifications, you agree to be bound by them.
